As stated in the founding texts of the Association, CEIOPS shall act in a spirit of openness and transparency. In particular, the Committee shall consult extensively with market participants, consumers and end-users and disclose the way in which it has taken into consideration the comments and suggestions received. CEIOPS shall follow appropriate practices for consultation and disclosure.

With this in mind, CEIOPS drafted its Public Statement of Consultation Practices. It aims to build consensus where possible between all interested and affected parties on what legislation, regulation, or supervisory practice is appropriate, by stating who, when and how CEIOPS will consult.
