CEIOPS is the Committee of European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Supervisors It was established under
the terms of the European Commission Decision 2004/6/EC of 5 November 2003,
currently repealed and replaced by Decision 2009/79/EC, and is composed
of high level representatives from the insurance and occupational pensions
supervisory authorities of the European Union's Member States. The authorities
of the European Economic Area Member States also participate in CEIOPS.
CEIOPS Secretariat is located in Frankfurt am Main.

CEIOPS is pleased to announce the publication of the Report of the Catastrophe Task Force, the joint Task Force between the industry and CEIOPS, which has provided CEIOPS with input and guidance on the calibration and application of non-life and health catastrophe standardized scenarios for the standard formula. The standardized scenarios will be tested during the QIS5 exercise. CEIOPS underlines the good cooperation it has received from the industry and thanks all industry representatives for their continuous contribution to this very challenging task. |
